Requirements to serve as a Lector
A lector is a Catholic who has received First Holy Communion and Confirmation, leads a life of faith, is reverential, and possesses the necessary ability and talents to proclaim the Word of God in a clear, dignified, and effective manner. Requirements to serve as a Eucharistic Minister
An extraordinary minister of Holy Communion is a Catholic in good sacramental standing in the Church — i.e., is a person who is a baptized and confirmed Catholic and, if married, is validly married according to the laws and teachings of the Catholic Church. |
